Best Start Wilmington is part of 14 Best Start communities across Los Angeles County.
The Best Start initiative is a community-led program with a focus on community’s priorities in creating systems change. We strive to strengthen and elevate community-based approaches and projects that help improve the lives of children prenatal to age 5.
Our collective goal is to develop healthier communities for children prenatal to age 5 and their families.
Best Start Wilmington’s work is a platform for parents, residents, community-based organizations, and advocacy groups to build stronger relationships, mobilize, and act together to directly support children’s wellbeing. Advocating for improvements in policies, services, and investments that benefit children and their families.
